Introduction The Bitzer F400Y series is a compact and lightweight compressor alternative developed especially for small and medium capacity bus air-conditioning systems. Based on the successful experience of the 4UFC .. 4NFC series, this compressor represents a technical solution that combines a very compact design, low weight, and high efficiency with the recognized reliability and quality of Bitzer products.

Technical Features

• Refrigerant Optimization: Specifically optimized for R134a (other refrigerants available upon request).
• Shaft Seal: Patented design with a secondary oil barrier for minimum leakages; easily accessible and exchangeable for service.
• Drive Parts: Ensures smooth running due to dynamic mass balance. Features low friction losses thanks to a surface-hardened crankshaft, optimized piston geometry, and hard chrome-plated piston rings. Connecting rods have closed big ends and generously dimensioned bearing surfaces.
• Cylinder Liners: Exchangeable and particularly wear-resistant.
• Bearings: Fixed thrust bearing at the driving side with minimum axial clearance (independent of housing temperature and operating conditions). Designed for extreme loadings at high speed.
• Oil Management: Minimum oil carry-over rate due to an internal oil separator.
• Valves: Dynamic working flapper valves made of impact-resistant spring steel for highest reliability; matching the entire speed range with high efficiencies through optimized geometry and dynamic characteristics.
• Design Flexibility: Exchangeable suction shut-off valve position and exchangeable mounting positions (VDA flange, different mounting feet upon request) for optimized installation in tight spaces.
